EGS Research Trip

Come With Us to Visit the Family History Library in Salt Lake City
We are excited to announce the plans for a 2nd research trip as a group, to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. A block of rooms has been reserved with a special group price at The Plaza at Salt Lake City for July 28 – August 3, 2019. You can call now and reserve your room at 801-521-0130. Tell the receptionist that you are part of Eastside Genealogical Society. The block of 10 rooms have 2 Queen beds, 2 desks, 2 washbasins each and are for singles or doubles. A third and fourth person can be in the room for a small additional fee. The nightly fee is $104 per night before taxes.
Each person will be responsible for their own travel arrangements to Salt Lake City. The hotel offers a free shuttle from the SLC airport. It is located next door to the Family History Library in the Temple Square area. The TRAX light rail is free to ride in the downtown area. Our group rate will include a free class there at the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant but there are many eateries within an easy walk from the hotel, also. EGS is sponsoring a Meet and Greet Sunday evening, July 28 that the hotel with a light dinner. There are other special tours and activities in the planning stages.
Each person on the trip, whether researching or not, must be a member of EGS in order to be covered with our liability insurance.
We must have a firm decision on attending by May 1, 2019, with a non-refundable fee of $35 per person paid to EGS in order to confirm our special plans. As soon as you know for sure you are coming, let me know!
