EGS Special Interest Groups (SIGS)

EGS has many Special Interest Groups with the following meeting schedules. For specific monthly information please click each SIG’s name on the left to open their webpage. The Special Interest Groups that are still holding meetings do so using Zoom meetings. Click the name of the group to see more information. Location addresses are below.

Czeck/Slovak

The Czech/Slovak Genealogy Interest group meets on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in February, April, June, September and November to discuss Czech and Slovak family history research and culture.

The November 2022 meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 19 at 9:30 am in the Community Room at the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue, 15600 NE 8th Street.

Family Tree Maker

The Family Tree Maker SIG meets on the 3rd Friday of each month from 10:30AM to 12:30PM Pacific time via Zoom. (Check this website for information on each upcoming meeting date.) The next meeting will be Friday, June 16th, 2023. If you would like to attend and are not on the SIG e-mail distribution list, please send an e-mail to ftmsig@eastsidegenealogicalsociety.org no later than Thursday, June 15th to request the meeting link. 

Italian

The Italian Interest Group meets virtually 1:30-3:30pm on the 3rd Saturday of the month Sept. through June excluding December. Please request a link via our website https://egs-iig.com/

When in-person meetings resume, they will be held on the 3rd Saturday of the month at the LDS Church (Relief Society Room) at 10675 NE 20th St, Bellevue.

DNA

The DNA SIG meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM via Zoom. If you wish to attend DNA SIG meetings , send an email request to Bruce Lee at bruceearllee.egs@gmail.com.

German

The German Interest Group meets on the 1st Friday of each month, except July and August, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Pacific time.  When we meet in-person, it’s in the Relief Society Room of the LDS Church at 10675 NE 20th St, Bellevue, WA 98004. Currently, we are meeting virtually and Registration is required to attend our meetings.  Visitors are always welcome.
